Woman Allegedly Raped by Two Men Using “Black Magic”

Faridabad, April 18, 2025 — A 22-year-old girl was allegedly raped by two men in the Ballabhgarh area of Faridabad district in Haryana, reports claim on Thursday. The rape was lured through what police describe as a 'black magic' trap, said officials.

As per the FIR from the victim, the incident occurred on April 15 near the Ballabhgarh bus stand. The accused approached the woman and her friend and asked for directions. Then, one of them started burning a piece of paper and handed them flowers and peepal leaves, telling them to throw those into a river or face death.

Convincing the women to walk along with them under the guise of fulfilling the ritual allegedly separated the two friends after sending the other one back to the bus stand and snatching their mobile phones. The victim was brought through auto-rickshaws to a location near Agra Canal.

Once there, the woman was forced to place the flowers and leaves at the base of a tree under threat to her and her friend's lives. It is said that he took her away towards a secluded place near the canal and raped her.

The woman managed to get free when one of the culprits received a phone call, after which she reported to the police and underwent a medical examination at Faridabad Civil Hospital, confirming sexual assault.

The police have registered an FIR under the applicable sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. A forensic team has visited the crime scene; ministries are inspecting CCTV footage from surrounding locations for further investigation and inquiry.

A manhunt is currently underway to arrest the suspects, a senior police official confirmed.
